Where do I begin? We have been going to Specks since 2009. We drive roughly 50 minutes from our home to eat here. When we do we pass many other places to eat. The owners and staff are just amazing people. I personally recommend the buffalo chicken pizza and their italian dressing. I would eat there every day if possible. When you order a fountain soda they come out in great big cups, unlike other places who provide small cups and require multiple refills. In my opinion, this is the best pizza around. The pizza is always cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. The place is always very clean and well kept. The coffee bar is built beautifully. Now I can't wait till my next day off to go eat. We regularly travel 45 minutes from State College (which has PLENTY of pizza joints) to get this pizza -- it's that good. I also like leftover cold pizza and this pizza is FANTASTIC cold -- the right combination of sauce/cheese/dough to give it the right consistency for cold pizza.

Me and my dad went here once after a day on the lake and were expecting a mediocre sub for such a small and inexpensive place, but what we got was much more than anticipated. The half subs me and my dad got were some of the best I've ever had, the bread was crunchy, and warm and it had plenty of meat. Not to mention the woman at the register was fun and talkative. The atmosphere was interesting to say the least, overall I'd definitely go many more times.

Check out the helpful review by Tsering posted recently. I visited this terrific eatery with her, her husband, and my family on a vacation getaway. We originally planned to go to Top's Diner across the road, which definitely appears more upstanding on the outside. But don't let external appearance fool you. We poked our heads into Specks and changed our minds! The interior dining space is cozy and tastefully decorated - and clean! We ordered 8 Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches and all agreed that they were amazing! You'll enjoy fast and friendly service here and the kids even get creative and paper to draw on! The prices are reasonable and easier on the wallet than a standard diner, making this an excellent choice. Whether you're visiting our local, you've got to check out this fantastic place.

This place has the BEST buffalo chicken salads! It comes in a huge portion and is so incredibly good. Their pizza is also amazing; they have so many unique pizza toppings and their crust is better than all big pizza chains. I love local places like these!
